The free extension

The core extension and all motion-control features are free under the MIT License. You may install, inspect, modify, and redistribute the source under that license. Websites can implement motion in ways an extension cannot safely identify; turn Stable mode off for a site if its layout or controls stop working.

No medical claim

Calm Scroll is not a medical device, diagnosis, or treatment. It does not promise to prevent nausea, vertigo, migraine, or any other symptom. Comfort outcomes are personal and user-reported. Seek qualified medical advice for health concerns.

Supporter edition

Supporter edition is a one-time purchase of $12 USD. It includes the current printable motion-testing field guide and a supporter marker. Core extension safety and accessibility controls are not paid features. A valid product license may be used by its purchaser on their own browsers and must not be published or resold.

Checkout, refunds, and license status

Sociobot / Dodo is the merchant of record and provides hosted checkout, receipts, tax handling, and refunds. Refunds are handled there and revoke the associated license automatically. A refunded, revoked, expired, invalid, or wrong-product license will no longer unlock Supporter edition.

Availability and liability

The software is provided “as is,” without warranty, as stated in the MIT License. We may improve compatibility or correct defects, but do not promise uninterrupted availability or support for every website or browser release. To the extent allowed by law, the maintainers are not liable for indirect or consequential losses from use of the software.
